In this section you can choose the default layout for the message toolbar icons. Once registered, the users can modify this layout according to their preferences.
Simply choose where each icon should be placed.

The place of the icon will then be changed accordingly.

There are several available options. Most of them will apply to the homepage.
Display Superadmins on the homepage: To show or hide the list of superadmins on your forum. This list will be displayed at the top right of your forum homepage.
Display Admins on the homepage: Just like the above option, this one enables you to show or hide the list of the administrators of your forum..
Display Moderators on the Category pages: To show or hide the list of moderators in all categories. This list will be displayed at the top right of the forum, below the “New Topic” and “New Poll” buttons, on the category homepage.
Show/hide the Moderators column on the homepage: With this option, you can add a column to the homepage which lists the name of the moderators for all categories.
Show online users: Above all pages generated by the forum there is a list of all members currently logged in the forum. You can show or hide this list.
Show/hide bread-crunch navigation: the bread-crunch navigation helps you locate a topic or a category in the forum. This is a hierarchical navigation which follows this model: Forum -> Category -> Sub Category -> Topic.
This bread-crunch menu is shown at the bottom left part of all pages on the forum, except on the homepage. It can have two layouts:
Horizontal:

Vertical

Display / Hide the menu: This option enables you to display or hide the right menu displayed on all pages generated by the forum (see picture below) Note that if you deactivate this option it will also hide your forum logo (displayed on the top left corner of the page).

In this option you can enable or disable the link “Inform moderators about this message” displayed at the top of each topic. You may want to disable it when users are abusing this feature for no apparent reason. When enabled, this option allow moderators to be aware that a users has demanded that a message should be moderated. Moderators can choose how they want to receive those alerts: either by email or by private message. This can be set up in the moderator’s profile page.
In both case, the moderator will receive the nickname of the person who has clicked on the link so as to detect abuses. In fact, a message (email or PM) is automatically generated with the person’s nickname, the topic in question and the reason for a moderation intervention..
Note that this option is not available for the entire forum, all categories merged, because you can manually select the categories one by one to see the link.
With this option you can allow or forbid to show the personal quote of a user. This option can be set differently for each category.
This option is similar to the one detailed above, except that it now deals with the user’s avatar.
You can also choose that members without personalized avatar dispay a default picture.
Once again, this option follows the previous examples. However, this time we focus on signatures. You can put a limit to the number of lines and smileys.
In this section you can also decide whether the signature should first be approved before the member is actually able to display it on the forum. If the validation mode is enabled, a new link will appear in validations.
The option “Allow [img] in signatures” lets you authorize images in signatures.
A third option is available: to authorize images hosted on certain domains. You can add as many domains as you want.
For example if you want users to be able to display an image which URL is "http://mydiscussions.net/logo.jpg", simply enter the domain “mydiscussions.net” in the appropriate box and click on “Add”.. Once all your domains have been entered do not forget to validate at the bottom of the page in order to confirm your choice. A user will successfully display an image with a URL like "http://mydiscussions.net/logo.jpg" or "http://mydiscussions.net/images/illustration.jpg. However, he will not be able to display any images from other non-authorized domain (eg . "http://no1dev.net/images/illustration.jpg".)
You have to enter all the sub domains that you wish to authorize which means that to allow the display of an image hosted at "http://www.mydiscussions.net/images/illustration.jpg", you will have to enter a new domain with the value "www.mydiscussions.net"
You can also restrict the image display to a certain folder by writing something like www.mydiscussions.net/forum/images. In this case, only the images located on this domain and in this directory (as well as sub directories if any) will be authorized.
Domain modifications for signatures authorizations are not retroactive which means that existing signatures will not be modified should you change the settings of these options. The option “Verify existing signatures” will bring you to a page with the number of signatures created on the forum, as well as those which do not apply your new settings anymore.
From there you have the possibility to « Purge signatures that do not apply » by resetting non conformed tags
For example, if one day you decide to forbid images in signatures, set the “Allow [img] in signatures” on “No”.
Then do not forget to validate and click on the link « Purge signatures that do not apply », you will get the number of signatures that do not follow the rules anymore (those with pictures in them). You can clean them up, that is to delete images in signatures like: .. However it will not affect textual elements.
Here you can specify the number of polls that can be created per users and per day. This feature has been moved in the antiflood parameters in the antiflood settings
Here you can specify whether you want smileys to be displayed in the body of messages. This option can be set differently for each category.
Here you can authorize or ban image display in the body of messages. This option can be set differently for each category.
With this option you can virtually modify the forum images. Two solutions are available. The first method is for you to fix a maximum width size (in pixels) for the image. Images with a greater width will be automatically resized. The second solution is to ask the forum to set the image size at the maximum windows size – x pixels (in order to move the avatar column and potential ads on the right part)
