2.1  Interface for quick and a priori moderation

The interfaces for the quick and a priori moderation are almost the same. Therefore, we will review both of them at the same time.

Here you can see one subject and 4 messages which have not yet been reviewed by any forum managers.

Note that there is a new column titled « Stand by » in the a priori moderation interface. It allows you to mark a message in stand by mode if you are not sure about the sanction that should be taken.

Messages are marked as validated by default. By clicking on the Del radio button, a new box appears for you to write the deletion reason that will be sent to the forum member who’s message has been deleted..

Note there is a line that contains moderation reasons that have been predefined by the administrator. You can use it to make the process quicker.

You may also see some messages that cannot be moderated. It means that another forum manager is currently moderating this message.

You may also try to change the status if a message as another manager is currently doing the same on his side. In this case you will receive an alert message.

Note

Everything that you enter in the reason box and all you moderation actions will be automatically saved. Therefore, if you accidentally close your browser after entering a dozen of deletion reasons, you will be able to get back to this work on the classic or a priori moderation page.

When you type a moderation reason, a small icon will appear in the last column; it means that your reason has not yet been saved. Simply click somewhere else on the page or press [TAB] and the icon will become during the saving process and then disappear. Should the saving process encounter a problem or another manager already work on the message, the icon will change to .

2.1.1  Images and smileys display

By default, the quick (or a priori) moderation interface does not display images or smileys; instead they are replaced by their HTML code of link..

If you want to display those elements, simply check the box at the top right of the interface.

Once the box checked, pictures and smileys will be displayed in messages.

On the left column, you will find other boxes. You can check them to manually activate or deactivate one by one images and smileys for each message

2.1.2  Quote display

In the quick moderation, there are two ways to display quotes.

If the quote has been modified by the message poster, it will be fully displayed. If the quote has not been edited, only its author will be shown

However, you can still read an unmodified quote by clicking on the [+] sign. It will extend the full quote for you.
