On the page listing all the threads, moderators can access two more tabs for more moderation features. There is also a column in the thread list so as to select the ones on which actions should be performed.
By selecting the threads of your choice you can perform actions on them.
Delete the threads: this action will delete the selected threads.
Merge the threads: You can merge several threads together. 2 selected threads will become only one topic. During this merging process, the original thread with the largest number of messages will be shown first. There is no re-organization of the messages by date so as to retain previous conversations.
Move the thread: This action enables you to move a thread on another category / forum
Once the threads that you have selected have been deleted, you can click on the trash icon listing threads that have been removed or those contain removed messages.
Going to the list of deleted threads will give you the ability to retrieve them or to completely purge them (only if you are the administrator)
To empty the trash you do not need to select all the messages first. If you perform this action all threads will be definitively deleted.
When viewing a subject, you will see 2 extra tabs for you to perform actions on the entire thread, to filter associated messages or to move items. Refer to section 2.2.1.1 extra tabs inside messages for more information
At the bottom of the page, you will notice the possibility to either close a thread or to close it after you have posted a reply (usually to give a reason for closing this thread).
