6.8 Private Messages 
This icon is a shortcut to write a private message (usually
referred to as « PM ») addressed to the person who wrote the message in
which you found this icon.
The way PM work is quite simple: there is a private category,
similar to the classic categories, in which topics only are visible by the sender and the receiver
of the PM.
Therefore, in this category, only you and another member will be
able to read the messages.
In order to write a private message, simply create a subject in
this category and fill in the extra field “receiver”.
If you use this link , that last field will already be filled for you.
