The toolbar

Above each message you will find a toolbar with several buttons: Quote/Edit/QuickEdit (AJAX technology) as well as supplementary information about the user like instant messenger address, personal website, complementary information...

Flags and folders

In order to provide the users with a better reading experience, we have come up with an exclusive system of favorite management. Those favorites enable the user to directly come back to the last read message of a particular subject. Their color, red and blue, are used to make a distinction between topics in which the user participated and those that he only read.

The Reply Interface

Users can post messages from a classic interface, by using BB code to display smileys or add style to the text. They can also use a simpler graphic interface (WYSIWYG), which will display smileys and text styling in real-time (like on a word processor).

The search engine

Thanks to the search engine you can find a particular message by specifying a keyword, a date, an author, a category, a sub category etc.. You can also perform a search right inside of a topic. You can do this search from the topic page by entering a keyword or a pseudo. Simply check the box « filter », to only display results containing the keyword used.

Forum customization

Forum display

Every registered member can easily configure the forum colors, create a personal template and share it with other forum members. The user can also choose a personal pack of icons, decides to display or hide their avatar etc...

The profile

In their profile, users can configure several parameters: personal information (gender, age, city, personal website, hobbies etc...), language, time-zone, personal quote, message signature, toolbar layout, customizable alerts for new messages etc...

The smileys

A user can choose to use personal smileys on the forum, they could be used by other forum members in their messages. Personal smileys need to be approved by administrators who can also decide of a standard number, size and weight.

The image directory

Users can define their own image library according to certain parameters pre-defined by the administrator (storage capacity, maximal size and weight for each image): The user can easily upload an image from the local hard drive to the forum image directory (with the possibility to automatically or manually zoom, straighten or crop the picture). Once the image is uploaded, the user will be able to insert it in the body of a message.
